'Make art about Irish endangered animal species' – art competition for children age 5 – 18.

A child who also loves wildlife and everything related to animals?

Natural World Publishing presents 'Make art about Irish endangered animal species' – art competition for children age 5 – 18.

 

This mid-term break, Natural World Publishing, the newest publisher in Ireland, is running an art competition for children – 'Make art about Irish endangered animal species'

Pick an endangered Irish animal of your choice, or take inspiration from Aga Grandowicz’s ‘Remarkable Creatures: a guide to some of Ireland’s disappearing animals’ (#RemarkableCreaturesBook) published by Natural World Publishing in June this year, and draw it, paint it, make a collage, a 3D art – the choice is yours!

 

We’ll award three children in each age category (5-8; 9-12; 13-15; 16-18)*.

1st prize:

– Categories 5-8 and 9-12: the most recent issue of ’Badger Club Magazine’ published by Irish Wildlife Trust

– a signed copy of ‘Remarkable Creatures: a guide to some of Ireland’s disappearing animals’ written and illustrated by Aga Grandowicz

– a wildlife postcard from Aga Grandowicz’s online shop

2nd prize:

3rd prize:

*If there are not enough entries, or if the artwork level is not sufficient, there will be no awards given.

 

How to submit the artwork:

Take a photo of your child’s artwork and email it to competitions@naturalworldpublishing.ie between now and the 7th of November 2021.
The participants will be judged by Aga Grandowicz, an award-winning wildlife illustrator, and the winners will be announced on the 14th of November 2021 – on our website and social media pages. The prizes will be posted straight after receiving the postal addresses of the successful participants.
